Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:

We are looking for a **Head of Signage and Wayfinding.

The figure will be placed in the Venues & Infrastructure (VNI) functional area and will lead the Signage & Wayfinding team to deliver the project in line with the agreed milestones, project plans and budget.

Head of Signage and Wayfinding will be responsible for activities such as:

  • Develop, monitor and report on work programs for the delivery of SIG projects across All venues.
  • Integrate and align delivery of SIG projects using structured planning systems and processes.
  • Manage the ongoing relationships with service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
  • Ensure a high standard of relationship management and service with all internal functions, partners, stakeholders and contractors and the like.
  • Manage cross functional relationships to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Assist the VNI reporting function ensuring that progress reports, schedules, risk management and the like are accurate, up to date and delivered on time.
  • Be fully in control of the SIG budget implications of any proposed design solutions and be aware of budget constraints and design to a budget.
  • Share ideas and information with the team and contribute to the team environment.
  • Be aware and comply with the Corporation's health and safety policies, standards practices and program.

Requirements:


  • Consolidated experience in previous Olympic Organizing Committees or Multi Sport / Cultural Events in the same or similar role;
  • Knowledge in the design of major sporting venues;
  • Knowledge and understanding of program and project management within a sports and major events environment, including cyclical planning requirements;
  • Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of one or several other Olympic movement official languages is an advantage;
  • ITexperienced, knowledge of usual office software and technical drawings software.
