The purpose of the position is to define, in close collaboration and partnership with Global/Regional and

Countries IT teams, Global sourcing strategies, operating models and solutions to support Amplifon's IT

strategy, priorities and must win battles.

The Global Category Manager ensures best-in-class support to realize year-on-year improvements in

assurance of supply, service levels, quality, cost, compliance, innovation and digitalization.

She/he will have vthe responsibility and accountability for the end-to-end IT global landscape, including the following subcategories:


  • Cloud & Hosting, connectivity platform and security services
  • Softwares & Licenses
  • Hardware and network equipment
  • IT Services and Telecom
The role reports to the Global Indirect Procurement Director and is responsible for an annual spend of

approximately €100m between OPEX and CAPEX.

In parallel, the role will need to build from scratch, with the direct support of the Global Indirect Procurement Director, the vision, strategy and initiatives around the Professional Services Category with an estimated annual spend of €30m.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Level:
Ensure global or regional category strategies are in place, aligned to the overarching

Procurement/Technology global strategies and supporting wider business priorities and objectives across Amplifon's Operating Companies.

The Global Category Manager is the trusted, empowered and recognized SME for the IT category at Global, Regional and Local levels.


Tactical Level:
identify, negotiate, contract and lead supplier relationship management of suppliers in a

high-quality, timely and cost-effective manner

Project Level:
support project leaders and programme managers/Directors and cross-functional teams in

the selection and management of suppliers and service providers on a project-to-project basis and link

these decisions with the overall global category strategies


EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES REQUESTED:

Bachelors' degree preferably in Business Management, financial, commercial, economical, or

technical discipline.

8+ years of managerial experience in sourcing of IT services

Global Category Management experience in complex, decentralized and sizeable global

organizations

GENERAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Connect, mobilize, build trust and influence the business at every organizational level, from

operations to functional heads/C-Level

Builds the right IT internal network to drive category awarness and knowledge at local and Global

level while building and maintaining a global category plan

Manage key strategic relations, including various global suppliers with multibillion revenues and

global business footprints. Liaise with senior executives in the industry to identify continuous

improvement opportunities via internal and external financial industry benchmarks

Constantly monitor and assess industry and commercial disruptive trends and technologies to bring

valuable insights to the global organization

Able to manage and deliver challenging YoY financial improvements in line with a clear long term

category roadmap

Fluent in English, preferably Italian but not mandatory

and results
