Job Description:

Where and when could you start the internship with us?

Starting from October 30th, 2023, we will offer an internship opportunity in the Merchandising team.


  • Men's Leather Goods Retail Merchandising
Key Accountabilities

  • Launch reports and control data to analyze the business
  • Monitor Best Seller and Slow movers items and coverage
  • Support the team in elaborating weekly comments on sales performance
  • Collaborate in collecting data to place bulk orders before each sales campaign
  • Supporting the team in all the necessary activities before/during and after the Sales Campaign

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the team in launching, formatting, and analyzing different kinds of reports (dailyweeklymonthly analysis) using all the available company systems/programs
  • Support the team in various activities: elaboration of reports on a weekly basis such as analysis on sales, on hand, sellthru, best sellers, store ranking, comparability
  • Support the team in carrying out analysis on Sell-In during the sales campaign, in particular, Net Order vs. OTB
  • Support the team in specific ad hoc requests coming particularly from Corporate
  • Support the team to develop new instruments of business analysis
  • Constant interaction with different Departments (Productions, Regions, Pricing, Planning etc)

Key Accountabilities

  • Sample product management
  • Social media follow up and analysis of market trends on the web
  • Research on new product launches and fashion shows/main events of key competitors
  • Updating competitor data (products, prices, etc.)
  • Updating of sample files/communication tools
  • Use of the tool dedicated to line lists and collections database
  • Monitoring of sales data through the use of company software on a weekly basis
  • Supporting the team in any sales campaign activities (sample shots/product briefings/showroom setup)
What will you learn with us?

  • Understand the processes related to the creation of the collection, its presentation, and the monitoring of sales data
  • Understand the complexity of Merchandising activities within Gucci
  • Develop knowledge and skills related to the Merchandiser role
  • Increase passion and knowledge of the product and competitors' scenario.
What are the basics?

  • You should be going into your last year of university and planning a gap semester to take an internship or have recently graduated (within the past 2 years) with successful studies in Economics or related fields.
  • Master in Fashion or Luxury will be a plus.
  • Previous curricular/extracurricular or educational experience abroad is a plus.
  • Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English are required.
  • Involvement in curricular university activities and volunteering activities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
How will the Recruitment process look like?
