Job Description Summary:

The Hseries Turboprop Engines - Mechanical System Engineering focal is the primary engineering responsible of the Hseries engines accessory and reduction gearboxes.


In this role you will work within the Apulia Design Engineering section and GEAC Engineering section as engineering focal for the reduction and accessory gearboxes redesign of both H80 and H85 engines and will interface Testing Team and Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing).


Essential Responsibilities

  • Prime engineering responsible for the components NPI execution through the Avio Aero NPI process.
  • Prime engineering support to the formal components developments Reviews.
  • Own the components/module design and development modifications to adopt key technologies and optimize the system design.
  • Establish an efficient coordination of the design activities from different engineering organizations.
  • Provide all required engineering support to the components prototypes definition and production to feed the development articles.
  • Provide all required engineering support to the components/module engineering and certification tests definition, tests plan, tests rig designprocurementsetup, tests execution and component certification/module final certification.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent knowledge or work experience.
  • Availability to frequently travel to Czech Republic.
  • Previous experience in mechanical design or hardware ownership and baseline use of CAD tools (Unigraphix).
  • Great accountability/collaboration & interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Technical Program management and execution/coordination skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian
  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous experience in cost and value engineering.
  • Advanced Unigraphics CAD tool.
  • Good execution/coordination skills.
