Multi Country Manager Contract Sales and Medical Solutions


Due to the continued growth of our business, we are recruiting for an International Project Director to join IQVIA's Contract Sales and Medical Solutions team - we are searching for someone based in
Spain, Italy, Germany, or the UK for this
national sales manager level role, which carries responsibility for managing teams working on projects which operate across multiple countries.


Working as part of a specialist business unit focussing on emerging biopharma and medtech arenas, our teams include both commercial and field based medical personnel (MSL) in niche therapy areas such as rare diseases and oncology.


Key aspects of the position include:

  • Providing project management for complex multi-country projects in medical affairs or sales
  • Providing an overall strategic focus for the customer by working in association with them to reach planned and agreed partnership policies that fully optimise the synergies of the relationship
  • Liaising closely with senior Europeanlevel customer contacts on a daytoday basis to ensure each project is aligned to the customer's objectives
  • Directing the hiring and selection process of team members
  • Day to day management of team members including field visits, performance reviews, and guiding professional development
  • Developing standard processes to ensure staff has the proper materials, systems access and training to complete job responsibilities. Overseeing the execution of the training plan and mentored training experiences for each region / office / country
  • Aligning with local country operations and other International Project Directors to ensure the dissemination of best practice in project management.
  • Managing the financial performance of multiple varied projects, (e.g. achievement of financial targets, invoicing, cross charging, gap analysis, cost control, cash flow revenue and profitability), identify and manage financial issues and provide regular feedback on the financial performance of the team
  • Guiding and directing the Analytics Department to build and create the required analytical tools.

Role requirements:


  • A Bachelor's Degree as a minimum, plus at least 8 years relevant experience gained within the pharmaceutical or medtech industry (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
  • Proven track record of national sales management experience in one country, or across multiple countries
  • Prior experience of managing teams in the contract service organisation environment would be beneficial
  • Eligibility to work in the EU on a permanent basis
  • Willingness to travel regularly
  • Outstanding IT and presentation skills
  • Fluent English is essential; other language skills would be desirable (but not essential).
