JOB PURPOSE
Venturina site belongs to Film Business Unit within Amcor Flexibles EMEA. Purpose of this BU is supplying excellent films solution using a range different thermos-plastic polymers and different extrusion technologies.

The site utilizes high capacity extrusion machines, running 24/7 most of the year, in order to supply a range of flexible packaging products to a prestigious customer base, in a large number of markets (pet food, ready meals, dry food and pasta, medical, cheese, etc).

The site Operations Manager is responsible for managing Production and the main focus areas are as follows:

  • Safety and Environment in coordination with local HSE and the other departments
  • Compliance with company/plant policies e procedures with regard to manufacturing blueprints and group best practices
. OEE and machinery productivity to be constantly sustained and improved

  • Customer requirements satisfaction in terms of fulfillment and customers quality specs
  • Continuous improvement and innovation of shopfloor processes
. Development of local MES and PMS (Performance Management System) fostering a KPI culture in the factory- JOB DIMENSIONS & SCOPE

  • Process: 3 manufacturing departments (consisting in 4 extrusion lines, 5 slitting lines and a regrind facility) working 24/7 for most of the year
  • Complexity: interaction with suppliers, contractors, Amcor corporate functions (R&D, Sales, Procurement, IT) and close interaction with plant functions.
  • Staff: 90 blue collars FTE working on a 5 teams pattern shifts, 6 shift leaders, 3 Dept leaders
  • Production: yearly production output of about tons of FG in film reels
  • PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Delivering targeted volumes and quality meeting the cost constrains (primarily waste) assigned
  • Supporting the organization for the management of the safety performance of the plant
  • Taking a leading role in the plant's safety programs and goals, spreading safety culture at all levels
  • Defining and assigning goals and improvement projects to the line managers focused on competitiveness, efficiency and asset reliability
  • Defining and managing organizational processes and improvements (roles, responsibilities, number of headcounts, shifts, activities), according to company policies and budget
  • Supporting the Engineering Dept. to develop effective machinery solutions (both technical and processes) aimed to guarantee output optimization, excellent quality, cost reduction and assets reliability
  • Supporting PGM and HR to design and build a top performing industrial organization and foster the team to standup in front of stakeholders, including Amcor HQ
  • Strictly monitoring industrial KPIs in order to control processes performance and promptly investigate any relevant deviations
  • Leading innovation and changes with a strong CI mindest
  • Promoting Amcor Values within the plant
  • Supporting PGM and Plant Leadership Team in the plant management
  • Supporting PGM and HR in industrial relations and disciplinary issues
  • Heightening own team performances, knowledge and leadership
  • Maintaining high level of collaborators' motivation and engagement
  • Requesting and supporting CI improvement projects
  • Creating value through best practices sharing with other plants and introduction of new technologies
  • Directs reports of Production Manager are Production Department managers responsible for:
  • evaluating and developing new projects, performing their implementation respecting safety, cost and time scheduling agreed.
