Job Description Summary:

At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.

We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

The Combustor materials planner will coordinate and expedite the materials flow (from Suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules.

As Combustor Materials Planner you will become responsible for material coverage in order to meet Customer needs and develop recovery plans when needed.

The role will include activities such as minimizing inventory, processing transactions, material management, site operations, warehouse/logistics interaction.

Essential Responsibilities

Plan according to MRP through Supplier Portal
Responsible for material planning and inventory metrics
Develop plan to eliminate inventory excess
Work with all levels of organization in Planning, Quality, Production, Sourcing, Engineering and Logistics on a continuous basis
Resolve issues, track material availability and prioritizing material usage
Work with Customers externally and internally to identify new opportunities to improve our current processes
Be involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working
Drive inventory analysis in order to reduce slow moving, stock excess and obsolescence, and schedule WIP inventory management
Optimize inventory and simplify processes
Develop new solutions (traditional and Digital) to keep under control and improve KPI's

Qualification/Requirements

Master's degree in Engineering and/or Economics from an accredited university
SAP R/3 knowledge
Previous experience in a Material Management and/or Manufacturing and/or Quality
Fluent in Italian and good English knowledge, both written and spoken
Strong oral and written communication skills
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
