About the role

Role Purpose:
The Maintenance Specialist will carry out the routine lab activities in TRD environment according to approved SOPs. They will also contribute and support TRD activities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage, schedule and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Support specialized personnel in carrying out outstanding maintenance/qualification activities as required and assure all calibrations are executed as agreed.
  • Perform corrective and preventive work on equipment in case of need (HPLCs, synthesizers)
  • Execute work orders in the area of maintenance / calibration. Develop method statements for maintenance / calibration
  • Perform incoming and outgoing verification activities of raw materials and materials
  • Contribute actively to creation of lab procedures, reports and/or instructions and/or SOP's and their archival. Contribute to the evaluation of new lab equipment.
  • Collaborate with the TRD Manager and colleagues to the management of material stocks, waste materials and inventory of the lab
  • Utilize specific tools/equipment, lab automation tools and specialized facilities e.g., labs for radioactivity manipulation with experienced team members.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: scientific background
  • 1 year of experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • 1 year of experience with lab instrumentation
  • Languages: Good knowledge of English and Italian
  • Good knowledge of laboratory and/or technical tools.
  • Awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment.
