Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:

We are looking for a
Venue Overlay Manager.


This position is an integral part of the Venues & Infrastructure (VNI) functional area and will manage a team to design and deliver the temporary infrastructures for a cluster of venues in line with the agreed milestones, project plans and budgets reporting to the Venue Design Senior Manager.


Responsabilities

  • Develop and report on design work and delivery of overlay projects across a cluster of venues;
  • Coordinate the cluster design and delivery team;
  • Support and manage the ongoing relationships with service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery;
  • Ensure a high standard of relationship with all internal functions, stakeholders and contractors and the like;
  • Manage cross functional relationships to ensure effective communication and coordination;
  • Have knowledge of the budget implications of any proposed design solutions and be aware of budget constraints and design to a budget;
  • Share ideas and information with the team and contribute to the team environment;
  • Be aware and comply with the Corporation's health and safety policies, standards practices and program.

Requirements:


  • Experience in Manager role in a construction / engineering environment.
  • Experience in previous large scale projects, Organizing Committees or Multi Sport / Cultural Events.
  • Knowledge in the design of sporting venues and temporary infrastructures for major sport events. Understanding of design process and temporary infrastructures, experience in procurement, delivery and site management.
  • Qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management.
  • Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • ITexperienced, professional use of CAD/BIM softwares, knowledge of usual office softwares.
