Orient Express

140 years after the launch of the first luxury Orient Express trains, the legend is officially making its return.

Paying tribute to an icon by revisiting the decorative codes, Accor has released the design of the future Orient Express train, set to operate from 2024.

A new chapter for rail travel, and a new destiny for an iconic train begun.


As we are about launch the sales of our Orient-Express trains "La Dolce Vita", we are looking for our Director of Sales.


Job Description:


Reporting to the General Manager and in dotted line to the PMO of Orient Express La Dolce Vita, the Head of Human Resources (HR) is responsible and accountable for the recruitment and people operations related to the pre-opening of the train.

To maximize the efficiency of the recruitment for this project, the HR will establish strategic actionable plans or activities and will be responsible for their implementation.

The DOS will establish, submit, and oversee the budget related to his/her activity and ensure the best ROI.


The DOS will provide regular reports on activity and competition and will ensure all stakeholders are consulted and kept informed on the continuity of the approved strategic and action plans and will take corrective actions when needed.


Qualifications:


  • Strong leadership ability, with a handson problemsolving approach, leading and inspiring from the front.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Highly responsible & reliable with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on both guest needs, while balancing colleague needs, always remaining calm and courteous
  • Gracious and charming, delivering emotional experience with each individual guests
  • Empathetic leader, you are keen to build emotional connection with your colleagues, help them develop their strength and provide regular and constructive feedback.
  • You understand the meaning and importance of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Legal background is a plus
La Dolce Vita speficific qualification

  • Passionate about the hospitality industry, art and culture, heritage and history, you will be driven to deliver excellence in our guest experience, and develop and mentor Talent.
  • English and Italian speaker
  • Experience in luxury hospitality and luxury trains
  • Fluency in English and Italian (French is a plus)
  • Mastery of the office pack and more particularly excel and powerpoint
Additional Information

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the recruitment of both administrative and operational positions managing the six itineraries
  • Organize, implement, and supervise the strategies related to preopening activities
  • Lead and manage daytoday HR operations for 6 different trains, from the corporate offices of the trains in Rome.
  • Assess organizational needs and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition and development, administration, and colleague wellness.
  • Being an affective communicator who adheres to both legal/statutory responsibilities and Company Policies and procedures.
  • You must be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and consistently offer professional, genuine and engaging service.
  • Ensure that the team is well trained and understand how to bring our guests a sense of emotional luxury and wellbeing, how emotional connection is an indelible part of exceeding our guest expectations, and the inimitable way in which our colleagues are perfectly attentive yet perfectly discrete in making them feel at home.
  • You will effectively manage the annual human resource budget.
