Job Description Summary:

At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.

We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

Essential Responsibilities

Own the Integrated Master Plan for the procurement and manufacturing of Engines and Components required to support the testing campaigns of the Engine and the Aircraft
Drive on time execution on the plan and identify and manage any priority conflicts
Coordinate with the different Functions involved in the new Engine developments to assure timely and effective information flow and decision making for what concerns Engines and Components procurement and manufacturing
Assure harmonization between different Engine development plans
Assure all available data, learnings and expertise gained in previous developments are used in the definition and industrialization of the new Engine variants to optimize product quality, producibility, delivery and cost from the beginning
Coordinate with the Manufacturing Programs and Cost Teams, the Engineering and GSC Functions to drive the execution of Producibility, Production Readiness and Cost Out processes on new Engine developments
Coordinate with the Program Managers, the ITC Team and the Engineering and GSC Functions to assure that the need of export licenses is identified and managed timely
Support the Program Managers for internal and Customer project tracking and reporting and for the preparation and followup of internal and Customer NPI Process Gates
Support the Program Planning and Budgeting processes for New Engine Variants

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, preferred graduation in Mechanical/Aerospace/Management Engineering
Significant experience in the Aviation Industry preferably in Product/Program Management, Engineering or Manufacturing functions
Significant experience in Project Management
Proactive, adaptable and able to work with an entrepreneurial approach in a complex environment
Strong analytical skills and problemsolving abilities
Proven leadership and strong team player
Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
Fluent written and spoken English
Knowledge of office automation
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Availability to travel as needed to support the Business

Desired Characteristics

Experience in leadership roles on Aerospace NPI Programs adopting a Phase and Gate approach
Familiarity/mastering of Lean and handson experience in Lean improvement projects
