YOUR TEAM


You will be working within the Unit For Visually Impaired People (UVIP) Research Line, a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group led by Dr.

Monica Gori, who has extensive experience in the field of psychophysics for multisensory processing, and that has been working for over twenty years on the perceptual and motor correlates of many pathologies, among which blindness, deafness, dyslexia, psychiatric disorders, multiple sclerosis, in childhood and adulthood.

The unit is multidisciplinary at its very roots, comprising both neuroscience-oriented and technology-oriented profiles.

The post-doc will interact with an interdisciplinary team composed of a neurophysiology expert, a technician programming virtual reality settings, and a statistics expert.


THE PROJECT

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

  • It will be required a PhD in neuroscience, (bio)engineering, neurobiology, (neuro)psychology or related areas with a strong background/experience in haptics experiments.
  • Knowledge of programming haptic devices/interfaces, creating perceptual experiments, analyzing and possibly modeling data.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: neurophysiology, programming of virtual reality settings, statistics.
  • Experience in programming in languages for haptic interfaces, e.g. MATLAB, Python C/C++, python and possibly Unity.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
