We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.As Head of Marketing – Surgical, supporting our Surgical Marketing organization, you will be trusted to shape strategic product direction and drive brand performance for a key product line in Italy. In this role, a typical day will include:Collaborating with cross‐functional partners—including Product Development, Sales, and Professional Education—to solve complex market and customer challengesLeading the development and execution of short‐and long‐range strategic plans for a defined surgical product portfolioConducting competitive analysis and market research to evaluate product viability, customer behaviour, and professional audience needsDirecting downstream marketing initiatives, including launch planning, demand creation, brand positioning, and marketing material developmentGuiding product lifecycle decisions by assessing brand performance, identifying enhancement opportunities, and recommending product improvements based on customer and sales force insightsWhat You'll Bring To AlconBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in product marketing, brand management, or related commercial rolesProven success leading product strategy, launches, and lifecycle management—ideally within medical devices, healthcare, or similarly regulated industriesExpertise in market analysis, segmentation, and competitive assessmentStrong command of downstream marketing strategy, product positioning, and demand generationAbility to interpret medical, clinical, and technical product informationFinancial acumen to forecast, plan budgets, and evaluate product profitabilityStrategic thinker with a bias for action and measurable impactCollaborative leader who builds trust across cross‐functional teamsCustomer‐centric mindset with strong communication and influencing skillsData‐driven decision‐maker who thrives in a fast‐paced, innovative environmentHow You Can Thrive At AlconLead with autonomy in shaping the strategic direction of a high‐visibility product lineWork on meaningful, challenging initiatives that directly impact patient outcomes and global eye healthJoin a supportive, inclusive team environment with opportunities for career growth and leadership development
