Government Affairs Manager

As
Government Affairs Manager you will be accountable for managing the government affairs activities to support the company objectives


Typical Accountabilities

  • Set up a stakeholder mapping accordingly to the main objectives of the country and different Therapeutic Areas (Tas) and follow up with an operational plan of external interactions
  • Interact and collaborate with external agencies for lobbying and with internal corporate stakeholders
  • Provides ad hoc support to multiple Government Affairs initiatives, as required
  • Detect, study and escalate any new developments and legislative changes, relying on own expertise in the field, and communicates findings and their implications to colleagues within the Government Affairs function and the brand teams that could be affected
  • Follows new developments in Italy and at European level, and communicates findings to ensure they are incorporated into government affairs strategies
  • Prepares required documents, collects evidence and crafts testimonials needed for presenting regulatory filings
  • Follow up, disseminate and leverage internally the most important institutional global, regional or national projects (eg. LSE PHSSR, etc.)
  • Support the GA function in understanding European environment and opportunities to provide
  • Analyse and monitor regulations and legislation to evaluate risks and opportunities and to improve the internal assessment of impact to current and future business

Essential requirements:


  • Knowledge of the policy sector at EU and national level
  • Experience in a Government Affairs/Policy environment
  • Understanding of government legislation, regulation and managed markets

Desirable requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in government studies or related field
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Knowledge of the Italian and European legislative procedures
