Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:

We are looking for
Volunteers Programme Manager.


The Volunteer Programme Manager is responsible for developing a clear, meaningful, and memorable journey for the over Volunteers that will be involved in the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.


The mission is to coordinate in close collaboration with the Workforce Planning and Operations Unit the volunteer journey processes and workflows.

The ambition is to ensure a smooth and seamless journey for all Volunteers, ensuring key milestones are set and ready on time

The the resource will be responsible for:

  • Create awareness and represent the Volunteer Programme at every stage, managing all activities from planning to operations with commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Ensure checkpoints are consistently integrated with an efficient communication strategy, managed by Volunteer Engagement Manager
  • Responsible for developing and delivering all training materials for Volunteers FA as well as for prepare and deliver internal workshop to train Functional Areas and other stakeholders involved in the process.
  • Support Workforce Planning in consolidating the Volunteer headcount planning for Games Time by function, facilitating all volunteer related matters or negotiations.
  • Develop in collaboration with Workforce Planning procedures and guidelines for Scheduling & Rostering of Games Time roles and monitor uptakes in regards of Volunteers.
  • Support and train Functional Areas in charge of scheduling and rostering Volunteers. Monitor progress, ensure milestones are met and review the FA roasters in collaboration with the Recruitment Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Volunteer policies and guidelines at all time.
  • Transition to Game Times Workforce Venue Manager position.

Requirements:


  • 8+ years of proven experience in personnel planning, organisational design and the management of complex, evolving organisational designs;
- excellent analytical skills and good command of numbers; excellent interpersonal relationship management skills.

  • Time management and precision, high familiarity with numbers, project management, capabilities of working under pressure
  • Proficient in English, any further language is a plus
  • Proven experience in planning and organizational structure related issues;
  • Previous experience in Volunteer Management for large scale events.
  • Previous engagement in past editions of the Olympics & Paralympics Games or largescale sport events is considered as a plus.
