Post Doc in the area of automation and process prototyping

Project: _National Center for Gene Therapy and Drugsbased on RNA Technolog, CUP J33C , ammesso a finanziamento dal MUR con Decreto Direttoriale di concessione delle agevolazioni n. 1035 del 17 giugno 2022, in risposta all'Avviso N. 3138 del 16/12/2021 che dà attuazione all'Investimento 1.4 "Potenziamento strutture di ricerca e creazione di "campioni nazionali di R&S" su alcune Key Enabling Technologies", Componente 2 "Dalla ricerca all'impresa" del Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza_
Commitment & contract: 1.5 Year Post Doc position._

YOUR TEAM

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where biomedical, materials, chemical engineers, chemists, biotechnologists and biologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.

The Bio-Logic Materials Research line is coordinated by Prof. Paolo Netti, who has extensive experience in the bioengineering sector.

The research focuses on the design, microfabrication and use of polymer microneedles for intradermal delivery of biomolecules including nucleic acids for vaccination.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

Automation of the lab scale process flow chart meant for the fabrication of microneedles
Design and assembly of the working stations associated to the microneedles fabrications steps

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related disciplines
Documented experience on at least one of the following:
design of 2D and 3D layouts

- realization of a robotic prototype
- automation and robotics
- visual servoing and computer vision in robotics
- engineering simulation software

Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
Good command in spoken and written English

Previous experiences in the organization of scientific events
