Position Context


The Gruppo Campari SEMEA Business Unit (Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa), based within Group HQs in Milan, comprises the commercial responsibility over all Aperitifs & Spirits markets falling within the Region composed by Italy, Spain, France, South Africa and Partnership Markets (including rest of Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa).


The SEMEA Partnership Markets organization team, led by the Managing Director and composed by Sales & Marketing professionals, looks after the successful development of Gruppo Campari brands, through effective partnership with our third parties' distributors in the Region, splitted among 2 macro Areas: SEMED (Southern Europe and Mediterranean Region) and ROA (Rest of Africa).


The mission of the role is to support the ROA commercial team, in order to master all the local KPIs to further boost Gruppo Campari chances to win within this critical geographical Area composed by African countries, excluding Southern Africa and Egypt.


Job description:


  • Tracking of socioeconomic KPIs (inflation, purchase power, tourism etc.).
  • RSP monitoring for main markets using public/paid sources (eg IRI).
  • He/she will be responsible of the Market analysis (IWSR, IRI, Nielsen): Market trend, brand and segment performances, distributors progress... providing key insights to the commercial and Marketing team.
  • Masters the depletions data, running analysis by client, region, sub region, brand, channels.
  • P&L simulations (forecasts & support for new Business Cases).
  • Accountable for Pricing strategy (client, tier) and Maintenance of Value Chains.
  • Marketing spending reporting.
  • Oversees the Shipment forecast, with particular reference to the monitoring of the stock level (S&OP files).
  • Tracking and reporting: Tracks order receipts vs sales forecast, prepares accurate reporting of shipments for key customers.
  • Liaises with the Credit Control Manager, the Customer Service team and the supply chain to ensure expedite orders and effective shipments processing (incl. proactively ensures that there is sufficient stock in place ahead of the promotional activities; proactively manages customer orders on an ongoing basis and especially ahead of holiday plan closure etc.).
  • Prepares price list letters for customers together with the area manager and finance team.
  • Coordinates sku fast track projects related to the modification/introduction of existing or new products in the market, ensuring smooth SKU phase in/out.
  • Manages quality tickets and liaises with quality dept. He/she makes sure the product compliant with local legislation (quality, certification, inspection,).
  • He/she makes sure that SAP database is updated with correct customer information (incl. customer prices, live SKUs customer creation, etc.).
  • Provides operational support and troubleshooting to the Commercial team.

Internal:
Area/Country Managers, SEMEA PMs Managing Director, Marketing & CCM team, Finance team, PSC team (export & Demand Planning).


External:
Commercial, Marketing, Finance & PSC teams within third party distributors.


Experience & Education

  • 3+ years of relevant Sales Support &/or business analyst experience, within a structured multinational company.
  • Relevant experience in the Spirits, Wine and Beer industry is a strong plus.
  • Having managed third parties distributors is a plus.
  • Economics / Marketing / Business Administration University Degree.

Functional and Technical Skills

  • Proven commercial understanding.
  • Project management.
  • Effective time management, planning and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to process high quantity of data.
  • Excel proficiency.
  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
