    Job summary
    Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated Vehicle EngineerThe successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks in the Engineering DepartmentThe position is based in PISTOIA - IT

    Job seniority:
    mid-to-senior level

    Responsibilities


    • Support and coordination during bid and project development
    • Preparation of system requirements specification
    • Analysis of Suppliers' technical proposals
    • Checking technical description of the system
    • Verification of drawings/documents
    • Preparation/verification of performance test specification
    • Support during system type tests
    • Support during on-board integration test
    • Design review with Clients and Suppliers
    Requirements


    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • Good knowledge of pneumatic scheme, hydraulic scheme, electrical scheme comprehension, bolted and riveted connections
    • Basic knowledge of electrics and mechanics
    • Knowledge of office automation software/tools
    • Knowledge of mechanical design software and the IBM DOORS requirements management tool
    • Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment
    • Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects
    • Availability for short-term national and international business trips
    • Good command of written and spoken English
    Key Skills Needed
