    About us

    Philogen is a Swiss–Italian integrated biotechnology company founded in 1996, focused on the development of innovative biopharmaceuticals for cancer therapy and inflammatory diseases ().

    Philogen discovery center is located in Otelfingen (Zurich, Switzerland). Preclinical candidates developed at Philochem are subsequently manufactured at Philogen's authorized GMP facilities in Siena (Italy).

    Philogen currently sponsors and coordinates Phase I, II, and III clinical trials in Europe and the United States. The clinical department is based in the Siena, Milan, and Zurich offices.

    Your Role

    We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Medical Doctor to join as Deputy Chief Medical Officer.

    You will play a key role in providing medical oversight , expertise and leadership to ensure the strategy, development and implementation of clinical trials, supporting the R&D department in planning product availability for clinical studies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide support in developing strategic plans for the company's product portfolio to ensure development programs.
    • Support the design of study protocols, medical reports, statistical analysis plans and regulatory application documentation
    • Supervise pharmacovigilance, monitoring patient safety and ensure global regulatory standards
    • Interpret emerging study data to guide development strategies.
    • Interact with regulatory and project management teams to coordinate discussions with health authorities and clinical centers and develop relations with leading physicians.
    • Appropriately represent Philogen when building and maintaining relationships with partners.
    • Coordinate Medical and Biostatistic teams.

    Who We Are Looking For

    • Educational Requirements: A degree in Medicine (mandatory requirement)
    • Required Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in clinical development in a Pharmaceutical Company
    • Biostatistical knowledge in the context of clinical trials.
    • An excellent level of English, both written and spoken.
