    About The Role

    For one of our companies inside the group, we are looking for a Head of Automation Engineering to lead our engineering department. This role involves strategic oversight of all automation projects, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring that our automation solutions are both innovative and effective. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust background in automation and a passion for technology-driven efficiency.

    In this role you will report to the Engineering and R&D Director and will be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the automation engineering department to achieve operational and business goals.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of automation systems across various sectors of the company.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Manage, mentor, and expand the automation engineering team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate automation solutions that improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Stay abreast of the latest in automation technology and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Report on department performance, challenges, and progress directly to senior management.

    • What You Need To Be Successuful

  • Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in various automation and control systems, software development, and system integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of technical professionals.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency level of the English language both written and oral.
