With services focused on strategy and implementation, the firm supports impact investing platforms, programs, and vehicles globally across themes and sectors. Past clients have included diverse leading global asset owners, asset managers, and service providers active in impact investing across a variety of asset classes and sectors.

We strive to deliver integral, field-leading work for our clients while also providing to the market an aspirational model of what a more regenerative business can look like.
About the position
In the next five years, Tideline aims to fortify our position in the impact market as the leading trusted advisor to institutional investors and to grow sustainably in order to deepen our market influence and invest in team. Currently, we have an incredible multi-disciplinary team that includes exceptional associates and analysts, along with our founding partner and one associate partner. In order to achieve our goals, we are looking to add capacity to our team at the manager level, with an opportunity to grow into a director-level role.
The primary responsibilities for this role include –
Consulting: Leading client engagements, including managing client relationships and providing guidance, direction-setting, and oversight for the internal team.
People management: Manage Senior Analysts and Associates on the client services team, with the goal of providing regular feedback, support, mentorship, and professional development.
Internal operations and process improvements: Oversee staffing/resourcing of team members to internal and client-facing projects, taking into consideration individual team members' areas of expertise, capacity, and professional development goals. Work with the senior management team to make service delivery more effective and efficient (for example, through identifying and integrating new software tools).
Business development: Lead the drafting of proposals and other business development materials, in collaboration with our marketing/BD team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is an experienced consultant who enjoys managing people and thinking about processes. Tideline additionally values team members who are collaborative, organized, and driven to learn; communicate well; and are deeply committed to advancing social and environmental outcomes.
In order to be considered for the role, candidates must have –
5-8 years of work experience (candidates with more experience will also be considered)
Consulting experience, including experience managing and/or leading projects as well as client-facing experience
Strong interest in managing, developing, and supporting people and teams
An interest in making a long-term commitment to a boutique consulting firm, with the goal of growing into a senior leadership position
Some experience in the impact investing space
A track record of collaborating with direct and indirect reports and peers
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfort learning new technology tools and platforms
Commitment to Tideline's values, as articulated in our DE&I Statement and Community Agreement (see pp of our Milestone Report).
Eligibility to work in the US indefinitely
The ideal candidate would also have one or more of the following –
Management experience, including mentoring and coaching teams with diverse professional backgrounds. Providing professional development support and mentorship will be key to success in this role.
Significant knowledge and experience in impact investing and impact management
Experience with business development and revenue generation
Based near one of our hubs in New York or Portland – this makes it easier to spend time with the team in-person, but we are a remote-first business and invite candidates to apply from anywhere within the US
