Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.


The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).


Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:


The Olympic Information Service (OIS) Editor has a key role in producing pre-Games content for the MediaZone system, the official Games-time platform dedicated to the accredited media, and for official publications.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collect information, produce, coordinate the production and the translation process of preGames background reports to be published on MediaZone
  • Assist the OIS Manager in liaising with the OIS Planning and Operations Manager and with the IOC, IPC, OBS, International Federations, Milano Cortina 2026 Functional Areas and external suppliers, both in the planning phase and at Games time
  • Liaise with OCOG Technology for the development, testing and import of preGames contents to the MediaZone system
  • Plan and implement the OIS Sport Reporting Programme for university students in the host country
  • Manage the OIS training for students, paid staff and volunteers, and prepare the related training materials
  • Support the Press Operations team in the editorial production of official publications (i.e. Media Guide) and presentations, liaising with the dedicated FAs/suppliers
  • Help overseeing the development of the CMS (Content Management System) and the integration of the audio/video feeds in MediaZone
  • Assist the OIS Manager in planning the OIS working spaces and equipment for Games time

Requirements:


  • Experience in sports journalism and/or news agency
  • Experience in detailed planning, implementing and operating OIS at international sports, preferably in previous Olympic Games
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international sports media landscape
  • Experience in sports reporting training
  • Capability of managing projects to be delivered on time
  • Ability to analyse and understand complex situations and suggest/take appropriate decisions and actions
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and to train staff and volunteers
