    Job Description:

    What will you do in this position

    Microchip is a global market leader in both components and complete systems for Industrial, Communication apparatus, Data Centers, Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Consumer markets. Reporting into South Central Europe Sales you will be part of the European sales and apps team.

    This role provides a perfect position into a long-term sales and client engagement career for talented, confident, and enthusiastic Engineers. As Client Engagement Manager (CEM) you have the opportunity to develop nominated local customers as part of the South Central Europe region Sales&Apps team; primarily focused on demand creation and relationship management in the region. This position will expose you to various business units within the company globally and will allow you to get deeply involved with customers in Italy, Turkey, Greece and globally.

    More details on the expectations and responsibilities in this position:

  • Become a trusted advisor to clients through diligent, consistent engagement with clients on all their requests
  • Developing relationships and business with these clients. Relationship will include Engineering, Procurement, Marketing, Quality and all stakeholders up to the executive management levels
  • Engaging and collaborating with all internal stakeholders and partners to support these accounts through activities like concept development, compiling tender responses and offers, quoting, building customer engagement plans and maintaining forecasts
  • Prepare Market analysis and discovering of new opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationship with the distributors sales and engineering resources
  • Participating in conferences, exhibitions and associated industry events
  • Collaborating with the European team to exchange and extend activities across EMEA
  • Using and maintaining the customer content in our CRM tools
  • Understand and discuss application level with Clients
  • Collaborate with client's engineering on a system level and manage internal and external technical resources (Microcontrollers, FPGA, Processors, Analog Circuits, Power discrete components and modules, frequency and timing synchronization, others) to drive projects to revenue
  • Organize technology events at the client and for the clients
  • Build strong business acumen and objective oriented mindset

    • Requirements/Qualifications:

    Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Avionics or Information Technology or a similar background or education
  • Solid understanding of electronic systems architectures, digital and analog
  • Work experience in the field of sales and/or application engineering

    • Competencies/Skills

  • Knowledge of electronics, microelectronics, signal and systems, digital and analog, power electronics, timing
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills are highly recommended
  • Skilled communication and teamwork ability is key
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is an advantage
  • Fluent in Italian and English
