Position Overview:
For one of our clients (M&A Boutique), we are looking for a Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in the energy sector.
The candidate will be crucial in leading and managing the entire deal lifecycle, from origination to execution, for a boutique M&A advisory firm based in Milan.
This position requires deep industry expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster client relationships and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Origination and Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the energy sector.
Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Lead pitches and presentations to potential clients.
Deal Execution:
Oversee the due diligence process, including financial and market analyses.
Structure and negotiate transaction terms.
Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and financial advisors for seamless deal execution.
Prepare and review transaction documents, including financial models and valuation reports.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of analysts and associates.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth.
Market Analysis and Strategic Insights:
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic recommendations.
Present findings and strategic insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, MSc\Master's degree OR MBA
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years in M&A, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a significant focus on the energy sector
Proven track record of leading and executing complex M&A transactions.
Extensive network within the energy industry.
Skills and Competencies:
Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence.
Strong negotiation and deal structuring skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in financial software and tools.
