- Entertaining contacts with relevant brokers and clients, and sourcing suitable business.
- Triaging new submissions and identifying opportunities to position Corporate Solutions early.
- Assessing risk, coverage, terms, and conditions, and costing the business within available rating tools.
- Communicating proactively, timely, and transparently with clients and brokers.
- Negotiating with clients and brokers in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
- Italian mother tongue and proficient English language skills.
- University degree in law, economics and/or engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in the Italian direct casualty insurance market, underwriting medium to large corporates.
- Proficiency in underwriting tools and IT applications.
- Flair for numbers and orders of magnitudes.
- Ability to deal with complexity and, sometimes, incomplete information.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and integrate other functions in the underwriting process.
- Willingness to perform under time pressure during peak renewal periods while ensuring adherence to processes and guidelines.
