    Location: You must be based in Italy and willing to work without a physical office to apply for this job.

    Job Description:

    The position

    The Kingfish Company is growing faster like ever before. As our Sales Manager Italy you will play a huge role in our global expansion. In this role you will be responsible for both managing existing customer relationships and developing new retail and restaurant chain accounts in Italy. Another important aspect of this role is independent market research and the sourcing of new opportunities in both existing and new channels. As our new Sales Manager, you will have extensive contacts with buyers in the Italian retail, restaurants and HORECA distributors.

    A strong and vast network in these industries is therefore a requirement. Understanding and engaging in the company's product development, as well as our innovation process, is of great importance as it is the key to our success in business development.

    Key accountabilities:

    Negotiate and develop sales of Dutch Yellowtail to national retail accounts and key HORECA distributors.

    Develop proposals to best match the potential customers' needs.

    Navigate purchase orders and communication with the production team on behalf of the customers.

    Assist the customers' marketing teams on the best way to convey the story of Dutch Yellowtail.

    Organize and lead regional training sessions to empower customers' sales team and final users.

    Manage all retailer shows, presentations and demonstrations.

    Manage relationships with distributors in order to support and develop Dutch Yellowtail usage.

    Requirements:

    5 years' experience in the food industry, in a sales capacity focusing on premium food products.

    Existing strong retail buyer relationships in Italy.

    Understanding of seafood processor's role for retail and restaurant chains

    Knowledge, passion and understanding of the trends in the retail fish and seafood category.

    Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

    Strong working knowledge of sustainable food systems, knowledge of aquaculture production methods appreciated.

    Understanding of the certification landscape as it relates to internal retail standards and requirements.

    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with potential customers, clients, and other stakeholders, in English and Italian.

    Advanced user of Microsoft Office package.
