- Welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen and in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, or drinks.
- Greet customers and hand out menus.
- Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.
- Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
- Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
- Check that customers are satisfied with their meal.
- Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
- Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.
- Administer change to tables if needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to everyone, anticipating the guests needs.
- Showing food and beverage knowledge through taking orders and providing advice on ingredients, dietary restrictions and upselling.
- Manage a busy section whilst adhering to company service and conduct standards.
- Ensuring the correct set up, handover and breakdown of the restaurant and shift.
- Must have experience in a 5-star hotel or in a fine dining restaurant.
- Must have a passion for food and beverage and guest satisfaction.
- You have to be reliable, flexible, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
- Fluent in English is mandatory.
