About The Role:

This role is an integral part of the European Quality team and reports to the Quality Team Lead Italy.

The primary purpose of this position is to promote industry development of Zespri quality systems,through the development and implementation of audit plans with facilities, based on risk assessments.

This is to ensure compliance with the Zespri quality system including product, container, direct delivery, pre-pack and food safety standards.


This is a seasonal fix term from September 4th, 2023 till end of February 2024.

Accountabilities:


  • Undertake audits of facilities as per daily plan according to Zespri procedures
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive audit records for each facility within specified timeframes.
  • Assist with followup and report on quality issues identified by outturn reports or customer complaints
  • Assist in projects outside of the base audit plan as required.
  • Liaise with other Zespri teams as required.
  • Assist the wider ZGS Italy team as required
  • Participate in the weekly quality conference call

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Agricultural or scientific background.
  • Sound knowledge of fruit export requirements.
  • Sound working knowledge of Mobile QA (preferred).
  • Knowledge and identification of common kiwifruit pests and quality standards (preferred).
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Driver's license and available car for use. Available to travel nationally
  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Good numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility on work hours, particularly through the main season
