Organizational Setting:
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations leading international efforts to combat hunger and achieve food security worldwide. FAO VN is initiating the 4-year project 'Smart Agro-ecological Transformation of Farming Systems towards Resilience and Sustainability in Middle and Coastal Zones of the Vietnam Mekong Delta.' The project strives to establish sustainable value chains in the Mekong Delta through agroecological approaches, managed by a consortium including FAO and five research institutions.
FAO VN seeks a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist based in Hanoi to oversee the project's M&E activities and contribute to FAO's overall M&E Framework.
Reporting Lines:
The M&E Specialist will report to the FAO Representative, with direct supervision from the Assistant FAO Representative (Programme) and technical guidance from the Lead Technical Officer.
Technical Focus:
The M&E Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing data, and reporting on the project's outcomes and impact.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review and update project's M&E framework
- Track and monitor project's M&E indicators
- Analyze data and report on project's success
- Support periodical reporting tasks
- Contribute to project evaluation missions
- Provide M&E information to stakeholders
- Develop success stories based on case studies
- Conduct training and coaching sessions
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in statistics, project management, data analysis, or related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in relevant position
- Working knowledge of English and Vietnamese
- Vietnamese nationality
