- Lead projects related to Technical Safety at global manufacturing level.
- Leadership &
- Management Systems and Standards: Lead the review, update and implementation of Technical Safety standards, practices and processes, leading crossfunctional working groups.
- Communication: Manage communication and sharing of Technical Safety best practices between global, regional, and local manufacturing organizations, as well as with OEMS and suppliers. Design and implement global strategies and campaigns to enhance Technical Safety awareness and capabilities.
- Networking: Strengthen the partnership and collaboration with different stakeholders including Manufacturing affiliates, Manufacturing CoEs, Manufacturing Solutions, Open +, Operations Sustainability teams, among others.
- Organizational Development: Contribute to build and implement the Technical Safety capability program of the Manufacturing Sustainability Program by identifying gaps, proposing, and implementing agreed improvement/developmental actions; Developing training materials and delivering training sessions.
- External Affairs and
- Support PMI's Smoke Free Future as EHS Subject Matter Expert by actively engaging in new product development, industrialization reviews and by identifying needs in the Global Manufacturing Sustainability Program as we continue progressing in this transformation journey.
- University Degree in Science or Engineering
- Technical experience of Process and Utilities Equipment
- Experience in Process Safety, Machine Safety, Industrial or Occupational Health and Safety, Electrical Safety and Emergency Response
- International certifications in Process Safety, Machine Safety, Industrial or Occupational Health and Safety, or Electrical Safety are a plus.
- Minimum 10 years' experience with at least 5 years in EHS management in FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar industry.
- English proficient
- Experience in leading and implementing management systems and deploying global standards
- People Management and relevant leadership experience at factory level or in a corporate role
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and regulatory compliance
- Project management skills
- Internal Risk Assessment, Auditing and Consulting skills
- Experience in TPM or similar programs

As Manager Technical Safety, you will be part of Global Manufacturing function, in the Manufacturing Transformation team for Philip Morris International and will be reporting to the Head Technical Safety & LAC Sustainability.
Key Responsibility would be to develop and implement Technical Safety standards, practices, and processes for PMI Manufacturing to:
- drive a zero injury and zero loss culture,
- assess and control safety risks and,
- develop technical capabilities in manufacturing teams.
Specific responsibilities include:
Performance Improvement:
Manage the implementation of projects and programs to improve current Technical Safety Performance across Operations, by focusing on zero injury and zero loss culture, to assess and control safety risks and to develop technical capabilities in manufacturing teams.
Lead projects related to Technical Safety at global manufacturing level.Regulatory Compliance:
Identify emerging technical safety regulations and standards that may impact our operations, in cooperation with other functions such as Corporate Affairs and Legal, to ensure impact analysis, secure respective follow up and to obtain necessary certifications and licenses for the local manufacturing affiliates.
