- Offers guidance, provides project milestones, communications, and facilitation to the cross-functional team for engineering projects related to new business development and existing design/material change management
- Tracks, monitors, and manages projects through providing schedules throughout the Product Life Cycle and applying relevant methodologies
- Manages internal and external supplier relationships to ensure completion of projects and milestones that stay within defined budget
- Collects prototype submissions and new launch production documentation from internal and external suppliers
- Vets customer prototype and production submissions through the Quality department
- Coordinates with Product Engineering, Quality, and Metrology departments during prototype kick-off to determine equipment measurements, techniques, and product layout
- Identifies and manages the resolution of deviations from the quote/contract or defined project agreement, while determining risks
- Ensures the product is launched on-time, at or under budget, and with consideration to material cost
- Serves as primary interface to the customer, with support from the cross-functional team, through providing updates and tracking reports
- Communicates variances in project budgets, plans, and schedules with Product Marketing and Management
