IBM Service Partner Sales Specialist- Data & AI and Automation in New York , New York Introduction

A Service Partner Sales Specialist role (what we internally call a 'Brand Sales Specialist') in IBM's Data & AI brand means accelerating enterprises' success by improving their ability to understand their data.

It means providing solutions that enable people across organizations, in multiple roles, the ability to turn data into actionable insights without having to wait for IT.

And it means selling multi-award-winning software, and world-class design practices that enables business analysts to ask new questions. The answers to which are literally shaping the future and changing the world.
Your Role and Responsibilities

Revenue Quota responsibility for your portfolio in your partner accounts, directly engaging with partners, market sellers and clients to support high-value opportunities.

Partner Account Development and Enablement:
Developing strategic partner accounts to pinpoint growth areas, revenue objectives, enablement goals, and key milestones for measuring success.

Influential Partner Management:
Influencing partners' sales, technical, and practice leaders to adopt Data and AI and Automation solutions and technology.

Leveraging Ecosystem Initiatives:
Utilizing Ecosystem programs, co-marketing efforts, and IBM tools to drive joint demand generation, prospecting, and co-creation of solutions.

Connecting Partner and IBM Teams:

Facilitating the connection between partner and IBM sellers in the US markets served by the partner to enable local execution of prospecting, lead passing, and go-to-market success.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrated success of sales execution and quota attainment, directly and indirectly.

Proven Hands-on technology partner sales experience with a proven track record of forecasting and exceeding sales quotas, both directly and through partners.

Thought leader with ability to translate and articulate generative AI and/or IT Automation market trends, insights and technology into business value, to influence technology investment decisions and ultimately joint opportunities.

Outstanding ability to collaborate directly with partners, market sales teams and their clients in support of high-value engagements and opportunities.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Proven communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of executive-level networking and influencing throughout the successful closure of complex technology sales cycles - with and through others, including market sales teams.

Outstanding experience in building/nurturing professional relationships with key stakeholders, both externally and internally, through providing business value, practicing effective listening and candid communication.

Show vs tell. Consultative and story-telling approach via showcasing IBM's technology in action, in business context.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role. This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable law.
