La Divisione di Radioterapia dell'Istituto Europeo di Oncologia IRCCS mette a bando una borsa di studio triennale dal valore di € annui per una posizione di post-doc nell'ambito di un progetto quinquennale finanziato dalla Fondazione AIRC attraverso il grant Next Generation Clinician Scientist, Principal Investigator: Stefania Volpe.
Il candidato selezionato opererà nel contesto del laboratorio di Nuclear Proteomics and Gene Expression Regulation, guidato dalla Tiziana Bonaldi presso il Dipartimento di Oncologia Sperimentale dello stesso Istituto.
Nel dettaglio, il progetto (MONDRIAN), mira a identificare i fattori predittivi della risposta alla radioterapia stereotassica in pazienti con carcinoma polmonare non a piccole cellule in stadio iniziale (ES-NSCLC) mediante l'integrazione di dati di radiomica, genomica e proteomica.
Il candidato selezionato sarà responsabile di condurre uno studio basato sulla spettrometria di massa (MS) delle modifiche epigenetiche in pazienti con ES-NSCLC, integrando successivamente i dati ottenuti con quelli radiomici e genomici. La figura avrà l'opportunità di personalizzare il progetto in base alle proprie competenze e visioni, attraverso una discussione approfondita con il Principal Investigator dello studio, e con il Group Leader.
Il ruolo è aperto a candidati altamente motivati in possesso dei seguenti requisiti:
Dottorato di ricerca in Biologia molecolare e cellulare, Biotecnologia, Biochimica, Oncologia molecolare, o discipline correlate;
Esperienza in tecniche di biochimica e biologia cellulare;
L'esperienza in spettrometria di massa/proteomica sarà considerata un plus.
Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese, lingua operativa del laboratorio;
Affidabilità, precisione, forte impegno nella scienza.
Ottime capacità di comunicazione e forte attitudine al lavoro di squadra.
Inoltre, il ruolo richiede una forte motivazione, spirito di iniziativa in ambito scientifico e la propensione a mantenere un buon clima di collaborazione con le diverse figure professionali coinvolte, caratteristica essenziale nel contesto di un progetto a forte impronta multidisciplinare.

A post-doctoral position is available at the Division of Radiotherapy at the European Institute of Oncology IRCCS with a three-year fellowship worth €30,000 annually as part of a five-year project funded by the AIRC Foundation through the Next Generation Clinician Scientist grant, Principal Investigator: Dr. Stefania Volpe.
The selected candidate will work in the context of a collaborative project with Dr. Tiziana Bonaldi's Nuclear Proteomics and Gene Expression Regulation laboratory at the Department of Experimental Oncology of the same institute.
The MONDRIAN project aims to identify predictive factors of response to stereotactic radiotherapy in patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (ES-NSCLC) by integrating radiomics, genomics and proteomics data.
We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral applicant to work in Dr. Bonaldi's group within this multidisciplinary project. The candidate will conduct MS-based profiling of epigenetic modifications in ES-NSCLC patients, which will be integrated with matched radiomics and genomics data.
The project can be tailored based on the candidate's expertise and vision, following in-depth discussion with the PI and the Group Leader.
