Varisco is a well-established and ever-expanding company. It manufactures pumps, both for dewatering and industrial use. In 2016 Varisco was acquired by Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational company with 150 years of history behind it.
As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for your own supplier portfolio and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the purchase of materials according to our standards.
Main tasks for the role:
Managing a portfolio of commodities (evaluating current suppliers, strengthening the relationship, improving their performances, resourcing low performers)
Scouting new best suppliers (lead time, quality, price)Negotiating the best possible conditions and drawing up contracts with suppliersEstablishing long-lasting and transparent relationships with suppliersDeveloping ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, working towards a strategy of continuous improvementExploring and defining synergies with other departmentsBuilding up a network across the Atlas Copco group and working collaboratively with colleagues all over the worldWhat we expect from our candidates:
