Some thoughts on this work of beauty (and functionality)
I was going to write a longer article on this, but it may be too geeky for most of you, hence this short post.
I recently got one of these light laptops since my old one was on its last legs (I had duct tape on various parts of it along with an external fan working all the time!). It was a tough decision since there is a plethora of options out there for slick laptops that are for a limited budget (I may be wealthy but not rich, yet!).
Probably Javier and his team are already familiar with the brand, considering that it's from their home country (namely, from a town right outside Valencia). Don't let its humble origins fool you though, this is probably the best laptop I've ever own, plus it came with Linux preinstalled (saving me at least 1 full day). It also comes with Windows, if you prefer a more conventional OS.
Anyway, the computer is good, the company very professional (their customer service is truly exceptional), and after a few minor hick-ups, I got the machine up and running. The transition was so smooth, that it feels like I've always owned this computer. Cheers

Anyway, someone close to me has a MacBook (I think it's the Air one, which is super slick and sturdy). She enjoys it a lot and it has endured for several years and a few translocations since she got it. Personally, although I'm positively biased towards Apple computers (as I have a disdain towards PCs since they started coming with Windows preinstalled), I find the Linux-powered Slimbook a worthy contender. And no, I'm not affiliated with that company, in case you are wondering :-)

I know. My brother got into this whole Mac thing. The problem is that there comes a time in a man's life when he has to choose (and it's a tough choice, mind you!). He either gets a Mac and other gadgets of that ecosystem, or he gets a house! :-)
