    Klearly is one of the fast-growing fintech companies in the Netherlands. Since its founding, Klearly has raised €20 million, including investments from leading industry players such as PayPal Ventures, the former President of Mastercard, the former COO of Adyen, and the former CEO of Mollie, as well as investors including Global PayTech Ventures, Antler, and Shapers.

    Our mission is to reshape in person (card present) payments. We are focused on building a payment product that merchants love and that SaaS-providers embrace as a key component of their offering. Our initial focus is on the POS/SaaS systems which serve the bars, restaurants, and cafés in Italy.

    Klearly is launching Italy with a clear ambition: become a reference in payments for merchants, starting with Horeca.

    We're hiring founding Field Sales / Business Development profiles who want to be early builders — winning in the field, shaping the playbook, and creating momentum city by city.

    This is not a "maintain the book" role. It's a build + sell role: ownership, speed, and execution.

    Responsibilities

    • Own and run the full sales cycle end-to-end with Horeca merchants (independent + groups): prospecting → qualification → demo/visit → negotiation → signature → activation.
    • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline with consistent forecasting and strong discipline (CRM hygiene, next steps, close plans).
    • Spend time in the field (including industry events), becoming the face of Klearly for merchants in your city.
    • Close competitive deals by selling value (not discounts) and handling objections confidently.
    • Share structured feedback to improve pitch, targeting, onboarding, and product.
    • Close strategically: focus on high-potential venues and zones, not "random logos".
    • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, ops, and onboarding to remove friction and speed up activation.
    • Mentor future hires (as we scale): you'll naturally become a reference for best practices and execution quality.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in Business Development / Field Sales, ideally in Horeca and/or payments (acquiring, POS, fintech, merchant SaaS, hospitality tech).
    • Proven hunter mindset: you can open doors, run meetings, and close.
    • Track record of consistently hitting targets and winning competitive deals.
    • Strong "builder": you like ambiguity, you create structure, you move fast.
    • Commercial maturity: you can sell value, defend pricing, and negotiate with confidence.
    • Excellent stakeholder management: you can influence internally and communicate clearly externally.
